Manage mail lists and send mails or SMS from Excel


Mail List worksheet

As usual, only one worksheet manage the mail list and all property of the campaign

You can send Emails and SMS using External providers (with our ready to use API interface) or , since we are using Excel on client machine, you have exclusive ability to use your personal or professional Email (outlook,lotus, gmail, yahoo...) and you own phone and own phone number for SMS which is particulary interesting and inexpensive in case in compagny internal survey.

With the mail list worksheet you can:
  • define witch mail worksheet to use (see section before), witch SMS text to use
    • An Email or an SMS can include multiple surveys links
    • SMS can point to the Html Mail you wished to send if you had the Email of your partner
  • Send Mails (or SMS) or reminds totally or partially
  • follow who opened the mail, who responded to the survey, who unsubscribed
  • add Maillist extra info for each recipient that can be used in both mailing or analysis dashboards
  • split you mail list for A/B testing
Note: you can use your own outlook mail or SMS phone but you can also and external email/SMS provider

Thanks to Excel Power Pivot, you will make your statistical analysis with one of the more powerful business intelligence tool on the market (download sample).


Analysis is done on a totally customizable workbook (xlSur_Analysis.xlsx included in the startup download) who handle the set of surveys you want to analyse. A set can include for example multilingual versions, multiples versions of a survey for A/B testing purpose or different surveys that share a set of common questions.
Of course, multiple campaigns (different periods, different populations) on the same survey are automatically included in the analysis.

You Data is downloaded directly in the Power Pivot Model and dashboard is then refreshed automatically (of course , you have access to all data through sheets of the data model). With PowerPivot, you have one of the most powerful tools to analyze results in the market.

Afterwards, you will be able to :
  • View global statistics (%Responses, IP or respondents, %Partial responses, Responses by date etc..)
  • View statistics on each question
  • Drill down on each value simply by double clicking on a value in a pivot table (to see for example comments or who responded modality X from question Y).
  • Drill trough towards the real filled survey (To see the complete survey of a respondent), simply by double clicking on the RespKey (Shortcut for Response Key) column of the Drill sheet. Yo can even customize, for each measure, the detail columns you want to see.
  • Add your own slicers on:
    • Survey and campaign fields (Device, IP Country, Statutes, Date response, delay, Campaign...)
    • Extra info of maillist (for example the department of the respondent, his full name or whatever info you put in maillist columns)
    • Some questions tagged as analysis axes in the survey are available (For example, if Question 5 ask for preferred color you can add slicer on results of Question 5 to analyze responses on others Questions by preferred color)
  • Send the entire analysis workbook to collegues (including all DATA and dynamics effects). They will be just no allowed te refresh data unless you add them to allowed users of the workspace.
And for those who know how to master Excel Power Pivot, the possibilities become almost limitless, leaving far behind the qualified 'powerful analysis possibilities' in the market.
  • Create new sheets with your custom pivot tables and charts connected to the data model.
  • Add Excel tables to the data model (for example, for the list of employees, a table with the department, seniority, age, etc.) and use this information for cross analysis or slicers.
  • Add external tables to data models (web, database, csv, ERP or HRIS, API etc.) automatically updatable (Power Pivot is a powerfull tool for collecting external data).
  • Analyze answers for a question present in different questionnaires (Sometimes, we need to address differents types of respondants with different questionnaires sharing common parts).
  • And of course, add, copy and adapt, calculated columns and new measures to the model (M and DAX languages ​​of Powerpivot).
Since Power Pivot has millions of users worldwide, finding support from a friend or colleague is very easy.
